PairUp

Scoring

  • First team to reach 11 points wins, but must be ahead by at least 2 points
  • Example: 11-9 wins ✅, but 11-10 must continue ❌
  • When both teams reach 10-10, deuce is activated
  • In deuce, you must win by 2 points (e.g., 12-10, 13-11, 14-12)
  • Deuce continues until one team wins by 2 points

Tournament Format

  • Single-elimination bracket: losing teams are eliminated
  • Winners automatically advance to the next round
  • Tournament continues until one team remains

Team Formation

  • Minimum 3 players required to start
  • Players are randomly shuffled and paired into teams of 2
  • If odd number of players, the last player forms a single-player team
  • You can choose whether single-player teams automatically receive byes (toggle option when starting tournament)

Bye Matches

  • When there's an odd number of teams, one team gets a "bye"
  • Bye is awarded based on priority (if auto-bye for single-player teams is enabled):
    1. Single-player teams (teams with only 1 player) automatically get bye (if enabled)
    2. If no single-player teams or option disabled, best performing team gets bye based on:
      • Score difference (points scored minus points conceded)
      • If tied, total points scored
      • If still tied, random selection
  • Bye team automatically advances to the next round

  • Use +/- buttons to update scores
  • Match automatically completes when win condition is met
  • You can close the score counter after match completion

Auto Bye

When enabled, single-player teams automatically receive byes in all rounds.

Bye Assignment Priority:

  • Single-player teams (if enabled)
  • Best performing team based on:
    • Score difference (points scored - points conceded)
    • If tied, total points scored
    • If still tied, random selection

When disabled, single-player teams compete normally and byes are assigned based on performance only.
